The Announcements module is the central communication hub of the Notyfire platform, designed to track, schedule, and disseminate information regarding changes, incidents and business news across the organisation.

Helps teams stay aligned on:

  • Planned maintenance

  • Operational changes

  • Product or policy updates

Types

Views

Notyfire provides three distinct ways to visualise scheduled and historical events, accessible via the toggle icons in the top-right of the module.

  1. List View This is the default view, providing a comprehensive table of all records.

  2. Calendar View The Calendar View maps announcements onto a standard monthly grid.

  3. Status Board View This view categorises last and coming days announcements into a Kanban-style board.

Analogy for Understanding:

Think of the Announcements module as a Digital Air Traffic Control Tower.

The List View is your logbook of every flight; The Calendar View is your monthly schedule; The Status Views is your live radar showing which planes are at the gate (Planned), on the runway (In Process), or have safely landed (Happened).

The Templates are your standard flight plans that ensure every "takeoff" (announcement) follows the same safe procedure.

Pinned Announcements

Pinned announcements is a collapsing list of announcement you are more interested in. By pinning an announcement you can ensure you have focus on them in long term perspective (e.g. in case of planned changes).

Pinned announcements are stored in the database, it means you can back to them both across browser sessions or even different devices. It can be also helpful while switching the announcements views to keep eye on them.

Actions and Integrations

Each announcement entry in the List View has a suite of Actions icons:

  • Pin: Likely for highlighting priority announcements.

  • Mark as Read: Bohaviour known from mail inboxes.

  • Watch (Eye icon): To start watching annoncement (watching means getting notifications about updates added to announcement).

  • Reminder (Clock icon): To define additional notification getting some period of time before event date (helpful in case of long-term planned changes).

  • Edit: (Pencil icon) To see full details or modify the entry.

  • Add update: Announcement updates are logged in timeline in announcement details (visible when expanded).

  • Warroom Integration: For some kind of announcements (especially incidents) you can leverage this integration to help coordinate work across different teams. More details you can find in Integrations.
